SOUND AFFECTS were formed in the summer of 1982 in the village of CHALK near GRAVESEND, KENT when four lads from near enough the same street found they shared a common interest. They were all Mods, they were all a part of the Mod revival that was still on-going from the late 70's, they all shared the musical addiction of The Jam, The Who, The Small Faces and others, and they all wanted to be in a band. So, pennies were saved, equipment was bought and Chalk Village Hall became our regular rehearsal spot (thanks to Hugh, a.k.a 'smiley!)
